Exceeding Expectations

The Laurel Way

At The Laurels of Hillsboro, it is our mission to create a legacy by exceeding the needs and expectations of those we serve while embracing The Laurel Way. We understand that caring is more than providing excellent medical and guest services. It also includes being a companion and treating each guest with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion.

"The Laurel Way of Caring" can be found in a warm smile, a kind word, or a comforting touch. We are passionate about our mission, and it is reflected in the letters we receive from guests and family members.

"I loved it here. Everyone was wonderful, the food was good and everything is so clean, I loved it."

"We compared this facility to an elaborate facility in another state, and The Laurels of Hillsboro has them beat all the way around. Our family has been very happy with her care here."

"If I needed to go anywhere for Rehab or Skilled Nursing in the future, I wouldn't consider going anywhere but back to The Laurels of Hillsboro. The care I received while getting rehabilitation was excellent. The staff was great, very caring toward my wife and I both. The rehabilitation made it so I can return to my home independently, but I'll visit here every day, because my wife is staying."

"Everyone that works at The Laurels has been so sweet and kind to me, they did everything that they could to help me. The STNA’s were respectful, kind and did such a great job in getting me home."

"All of my caregivers very much exceeded my expectations. All were very friendly, helpful and they all know how to give super duper care. Does the kitchen do a Great Job or what!!!"

"The staff at The Laurels of Hillsboro was wonderful during my stay, very thoughtful and did everything right. The food was great and so was the Rehab. This is my second stay here and I think The Laurels just keeps getting better. I'm glad to be going home so soon, but I'll miss everyone who cared for me."

Before I admitted to The Laurels of Hillsboro, I couldn't do any daily task independently. From the start, my goals were being able to put my socks on by myself, daily grooming for myself, and being able to walk on my own. I passed every goal I had with the help of the amazing therapy staff that pushed me to do my best and believed in me, even when I did not.
