At The Laurels of Hillsboro, we take great pride in ensuring that everyone feels like part of our family, and that they are treated as special "guests" in our home.

The Laurels of Hillsboro employs a team of highly qualified medical professionals, including a Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Restorative Care Nurses, a Wound Care Nurse, state tested Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Speech Therapist. Our on-site Rehab, Dietary, Social Work, and Activities departments provide personalized and compassionate care to each guest. From the moment you walk through the front doors, the warmth and caring of the staff will begin to gain your trust and confidence, as they strive to exceed your expectations.

Unlike other facilities that use "contracted" staff members, each member of the team at The Laurels of Hillsboro is directly employed, not "contracted". Each Team Member takes great pride in portraying "The Laurel Way of Caring", as they strive for excellence in providing only the highest standard of care and services to every guest, and to every family member and visitor. Jo Sanborn, Administrator

Jo Sanborn is a native of Highland County.  She started working in the healthcare field in 1999 at Highland District Hospital.  While working at the hospital, Jo received her Master of Business degree from Franklin University.  She transitioned to long-term care in 2005 where she began as a Human Resources Director and then received her first Administrator position shortly thereafter.  Jo has been practicing as an Administrator ever since and truly loves working with people.

Tiffany Curtis, Director of Nursing

Tiffany was raised on a farm in Ripley, Ohio where her parents still reside. She has 10 years of nursing experience in long term care and skilled rehabilitation; four of those years have been with Laurel Health Care Company.  Tiffany lives in Wilmington with her husband and 4 year old son.  She cares for your loved ones like they are her own; nursing is her passion and it reflects in her work. Her favorite thing about Laurel Health Care is their mission statement of not only meeting the needs of our guest but exceeding their expectations.

Lindsey Puckett, Director of Marketing

Lindsey has lived in Highland County most of her life. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in 2009. She continued her education at Cincinnati State and graduated in 2011. She has worked to provide excellent customer service for the past 10 years and in the health care field for 6 years. Lindsey is passionate about helping guests and their families to make sure they are valued and feel welcome at The Laurels of Hillsboro. Lindsey has a special vision for marketing and is excited to express her ideas with the community. Lindsey began working for the Laurels in 2015 as a Patient Services Representative before being promoted to Director of Marketing. She is very passionate about providing excellent customer service and exceeding the expectations of our guests and their families.

Jeff Swayne, PTA, Rehabilitation Services Director

Jeff graduated from Shawnee State University’s Physical Therapy Assistant Program in 1996 and has over 17 years of experience. Jeff has focused treatment experience in the outpatient, orthopedic setting and long term care setting. He has spent most of his career caring for the local residents of the Highland County area, where he lives with his wife and two children. Jeff enjoys being active in the local community with youth programs and activities that his children are involved in.
